Mega Pack and Carry Terms and Conditions

What Is Excluded in Our Quotation

  • Any Extra Boxes, if required the charges will be Rs. 900 Per box.
  • All the Dismantling, Assembling, Electricians and Carpentry work has to be done by Client Itself, unless included in our Quotation.
  • The above quote excludes Union, Mathadi or Octroi charges wherever applicable & customer needs to pay the same at actual. Mathadi & Labour Issue, If any has to be managed and paid by the Client. Our team will provide the required assistance, if required.
  • If any small Vehicle required for transhipment of the cargo, due to space issues –  then the extra charges, if any will be borne by the client.
  • The validity of our quotation will be 15 days & the move should happen within 30 days from the date of order confirmation.
  • We will charge for the actual volume declared by the customers and therefore, if the volume is more than the declared volumes, we may increase our charges proportionately.
  • The Fabric Sheets , LED/LCD Boxes, Corrugated/Carton Boxes and other Packaging materials is the property of Mega Pack & Carry Pvt Ltd. It should be returned back to us after unloading/unpacking of the same day. Carton Box’s if kept back need to be Purchased by Customers & our team will not be responsible for any collection of Boxes later. (In case you wish to Purchase the Carton boxes, the same will be charged at Rs 120 per box).
  • Any professional third party services such as electrician/plumber/carpenter, multiple pick-ups/ deliveries, in-transit storage, vehicle/labour detention and overtime beyond normal working hours will be the responsibility of customer, unless included in our quotations.
  • Handling of items which cannot be handled through a normal door/staircase/elevator and not informed at the time of booking will be considered separately for dismantling & assembly of handyman. 
  • Any fees /permissions required to extend MPAC services at client’s location like society tax, society permission, Society parking fees, society/landlord permission etc. will be borne by client.

Payment Terms

  • The customer agrees to pay 100% payment at pickup point after pickup of goods. Failing to do so may delay the delivery process and for that Mega Pack & Carry Pvt Ltd will not be held liable. 
  • GSTIN details should be shared in advance, no changes will be made to final Invoice once generated from the system.

Damages / Claims / Insurance

  • If the packing of goods is done by the client, it must be in road worthy condition. Each item should be valued properly in the Inventory list. As the packing was done in the absence of our executive, we will not be held liable for any missing items or damages claims.
  • If insurance or risk cover has not been subscribed by the customer from Mega Pack & Carry Pvt Ltd, then in case of any missing or damage claim, we will not be responsible. We highly recommend our customer to take the insurance provided by us.
  • In case the customer has subscribed insurance / risk coverage from us, then in case of missing or damage claim, the customer has to intimate us within 24hrs of the delivery after which we will not be liable to accept the claim. 
  • Insurance doesn’t include coverage of mechanical derangement & internal damages.

Important Points for Your Appliances / Electronics / Car / Valuables

To make the appliances suitable for safe transport, the manufacturer or the authorized dealer of appliances, must be arranged by Client at least 24 hours before the packing starts. This is most essential as these appliances are covered either by warranty or service contract.

  • All Electronic items/computers are packed on an as is where is basis. As such company does not accept any liability whatsoever for any defect/malfunctioning if any, at the destination. ˇ Client must arrange for the disconnection of all electrical equipment and appliances prior to the commencement of packing. 
  • In case of Car/Bike Transportation, Registration book, Tax book, PUC certificate and valid comprehensive insurance policy will be required en route and must be handed over prior dispatch. 
  • In case of Car movement, 16-20 ltrs. Petrol/Diesel must be available in the car (in case of excess fuel, it will be drained out for safety purpose). This fuel is required to run vehicle up to the ramp point and in the same way from ramp to client door. The distance may group to 70 + 70 = 140 Kms. For location’s where car carrier cannot travel, vehicle will be road driven by a skilled driver, the distance in such a case may come up to 250 to 300 Kms. 
  • Before we begin your move, please take a moment to account for all of your personal valuables and secure them in a safe place. We recommend to carry the below items with yourself at the time of shifting.

The following would be a good checklist for you

  • Wallets and handbags
  • Passport / travel documents 
  • Cash/ Foreign currency
  • Cash cards/ credit cards/ debit cards/bank cards / Jewellery/watches
  • Mobile phones /hard drives/pen drives/headphones/Bluetooth speakers
  • Cameras/ video cameras
  • Stamp /currency collections
  • Portable music players/ personal digital assistance (PDAs) 

When to Expect Any Changes

  • The Customer agrees and acknowledges that the pick Up date & time is tentative. As such, the pick up date & time may be extended on account of factors which are beyond the control of our Company such as weather conditions, traffic conditions en route, strikes, riots, local disturbances, act of god, act of State or any part there of, decision by any authority, acts of war, terrorism, breakdown of vehicle, excessive loading time not previously contemplated, accident of the vehicle etc. other reasons in the instant terms, any force majeure situation. 
  • The transit time or days may vary depending upon external factors e.g logistical challenges, government guidelines etc. (listed in point above) for which Mega Pack & Carry Pvt Ltd will not be held liable in any manner.
  • The customer shall be permitted to modify the date of pick-up upto 48 Hours before the scheduled date of pick-Up. In case the customer wants to change the pick up date 48 Hours prior to the movement, the booking amount shall be refunded after deduction of banking/gateway charges. Where the Customer intends to modify or cancel the pick up date within 48 Hours of the pick up, the Booking amount shall be forfeited.
  • Obvious errors and misprints are not binding. For example: if you book an order that was mistakenly offered at a lesser price, we may simply cancel that Booking and refund the amount you have paid. 
  • If we need to change your Booking (e.g. if the our team can’t provide the service), we will inform you as soon as we can. If you don’t accept that change, you’ll be entitled to cancel and claim a refund of the amount you have paid (no matter how close the start of your movement is) but we will have no additional liability for any direct or indirect costs you may incur (e.g. hotel rooms or taxis or flight or train or bus cancelations). 
  • While we will arrange for the movement of potted plants it will subject to the availability of space in the truck, please note that carriage of potted plants will be done solely at Owners risk.

Things to Be Done by the Client Before Packing

  • Client must keep all their oil containers in sealed condition to avoid spoilage due to oil leak. (Only eatable oil and non inflammatory in nature will be considered for transportation.)
  • Refrigerator must be defrosted 24 hours prior to the packing to avoid water seepage.
  • All Batteries must be drained of their acids and should be empty before loading.
  • Gas Cylinders must be kept empty before packing date.
  • Washing machine/dryer drum should be locked before packing & loading.
